Took the filter out to clean and oil. Here we see it catching some sun rays to dry off before oiling it.

Decided to install the C&L 87mm throttle body that I’ve been sitting on for awhile.

Man, I really need to clean my engine bay..

The entire process took about 25 minutes.

The stock 80mm TB.

So, I highly doubt any big power gain but throttle response is much better. The intake note is a little deeper than before as well. Cleaning the filter probably made a larger overall impact.

Car in another lane knocked something into my lane, looked like a pipe. Swerved but caught the back wheel.

man that sucks. You are not having good luck with those wheels

Tell me about it. Luckily, insurance has agreed to cover it and my deductible is only about 1/4 of the wheels cost. I’m intending on having this one repaired as a spare, if possible.

Ok, hear me out.. Bought another ported 2018 GT intake to replace the one I robbed for the car and I’m supposed to get a set of Kooks long tubes from a local guy in a week or so.

I’ve gotten my truck down to 14.11 @ 101 mph with a dismal 2.34 seconds 60’. That trap speed tells me high 13’s are possible so with mo powa baby and some drag radials, I should have no issues flirting with mid-low 13’s..

I mean, why the hell not?

Took the C&L junk off the truck because it started to throw error codes and put the truck into “fuck you. I’m not moving mode”.

After discovering a slow leak, I decided to find a set of stock wheels. Picked these 17’s up for cheap today and put them on.

:( Man, 17” never seemed so small!!

B901451B-9A3B-4F2D-A7E4-EDD257A64EB8.jpeg

Flashed the tune to reflect the new tire size and hit the block to note the differences.

  1. The truck sits lower.
  2. The truck rides better.
  3. The truck is traction limited. :D
