@ElrodKTPQ_89 blessed my inbox with some more engine pics. No, I haven’t grabbed it from him yet. Yes, I plan to grab it from him soon.

When he removed the balancer and timing cover, plastic chain guide shrapnel hit the floor. Guess we found out why it wouldn’t run.

The rest seems to be fine, pending a peak under those bearing caps.

These timing components scream cheap shit.. Found them on Autozone’s website, made by SA Gear. At least they claim manufactured in the USA. These will be replaced with FoMoCo components.

Pulled one main cap and found some wear but nothing drastic.

Crank looks worn but decent as well.

After a long day on the road, it’s finally home.

So much to do and a total refresh is coming.

There is one spot in this bore that is concerning. (12 o’clock in the bore) Not the end of the world but could be the difference between a simple refresh and a pricy endeavor.

Pulled the nose cap off to start brainstorming the transmission cooler install. She's dirty but everything I did back in 2017 seems to have held up well. No leaks at the intercooler pump, no compromised wiring from vibrations, etc.

I did discover a very fugged up AC condenser and I haven't the slightest idea how/when that happened. The heat exchanger & radiator hang below that, the airdam 'tray' extends beyond it back to the core support and hell, the damn bumper cover would've been fubar.

Think I found my slow leak!

Looks as if the cooler will be situated between the condenser and the radiator. There just isn't room elsewhere.
