next time you do relays, use insulate female spades. Same thing as what you have except there is a plastic over them to shield them. You can always put a piece of heatshrink over the ones you have as well

That is welcomed feedback. I have been worried about them being rather exposed and will pick some up from work. Before i decided to switch the relay out, I had simply wrapped it with 33.

your correct to be paranoid of them shorting out as there is a lot of metal showing there. The more anal installers I know will even cover the 87a tab that when its not in use just because its common to the 30 tab when its not powered.

:confused::confused:
I was wondering what made you sell the Whipple.

I’m constantly re-evaluating my goals for the car and the whipple didn’t fit the grand scheme anymore. The 4V without some sort of forced induction didn’t fit either. Would it have been fun, you betcha! I feel that for my intended usage this 22k mile, 2017 F-150 Coyote (385 hp/387 lb-ft l, as is) with the usual bolt-on parts and a ported 2018 Mustang intake will suit my needs wonderfully. It will make somewhere north of 400 whp and be very reliable.

This doesn’t mean that I’m going to turn my back on the 4V either. It’s extremely close to the first start and I fully intend to enjoy it for a while.

@96blak54 - MIA? @lwarrior1016 has been busy but he found the time to do me a favor by picking my “new engine” up today.

Driver side cam cover suffered some trauma but that'll be an easy fix.

Tell me more..
We make 80% of ford intakes. I was joking about the quality. These things a strictly tested to the point of ridiculous reasons to toss out perfect intakes over tiny blemishes.

However.....if it were me and i plan to hang on to anything coyote,....change out the plastic oil pan and plastic pick up tube in favor of steel pan and pick up tube.....we make the plastic ones.

Since I listed the stuff on eBay, I pulled the truck intake and engine wiring harness off. Decided to mock the AFS ported, 2018 Mustang GT intake up and snap some pictures.

This one actually made it to the car this time!! Installed the Holley digital dash (553-106) and the Tick Performance fuel level harness. Just need to connect +12v power, ground it, connect it to the HP ECU and the fuel level sender.

Ok.. Function tested the electrical system and didn’t smoke anything! I’m going to ditch the aluminum battery box for a plastic version and then I’ll be able to finalize that. Also, wired in the 12v charger port in the center console.

Do the setup for the dash while the wheel is still out. Its a PIA to set it all up while hunched over looking through the wheel. Best advice I can give is to use a pencil with an eraser.

What does the tick fuel thingy do?
