I've heard of people bedding them in. Different methods on that

Ive known plenty who do the same. In racing cars clutches and motors don’t get to be broken in. They just get thrown to the wolves.

Oddly, most do just fine. [emoji38]

Yeah. I mean that is how one of my cars is setup. I just make sure my flywheel is good and clean and then I make sure it engages fine. After that I send it.

I haven’t done any clutch drop launches or power shifting. Otherwise, I’m driving normally but trying not to overly slip it.

Worrying about everything else I had going on I didn't really give it any thought that the clutch is new as well. I put a good 60 miles on it before I got on it.

My MMR block has less than 300 miles on it I think I let her rip after 100 miles... pretty sure rings are seated...

Working on sorting the fuel level indication once and for all today. Here are some random pictures..

its scary how we are mirroring each other sometimes as I was just measuring the impedance of the fuel level sender in the dash. I read 178 ohms there but when I set the graph up for that it only shows 1/2 a tank now. I am looking into it deeper if I have the wrong wire in the harness or what is going on but it seemed like it did go down as the gas level did, I just can't get it over 1/2 a tank...

I’m trying to get mine to do anything.

Didn’t take many pictures but I swapped front brakes today.

Parts used:

Motorcraft NBRR78 rotors
PowerStop PST968 pads

After securing the car on jack stands, I removed the front rolling stock and connecting the vacuum bleeder. This steps are taken to capture the fluid lost while pushing the pistons into the calipers.

Next, I disassembled the brake assembly and began to replace them with new parts. These rotors have a corrosion resistant coating and hopefully will continued to look good.

Repeated the process for the other side and bled the brakes.

Took the car out for a quick 3 mile jaunt and the brake function. Tomorrow, I’ll take it out in the morning to properly bed them.

First trip with the GPS connected and it works great!! The odometer is a nice feature as well.

Went through the 60-10 portion of the process and stopped after letting the brakes cool down. Walking back to the car I noticed the freshly filled tank seems to be puking fuel.

Definitely leaking from somewhere...

Doesn’t appear to be leaking from the fill neck and the gasket is only about 7 or 8 years old.

Whatever it is, there is no evidence of it now. It only seemingly leaked while I was bedding the brakes and violently pitching the car around. Speaking of, I still need to do the 80-10 portion of the bedding procedure. So far, I can attest that they stop the car and do have some noise to them. Yay race brakes!

Agreed. I just put one in mine now only if I could get the color to match
