Found a Cobra hood within 2 miles of the house for $100! Just need to swap my vents over (have to keep the “black-ccenting”) and install some Aerocatch latches.

Picked this dirty ass, slightly boogered up GT hood up from a buddy for $75 but I’m going to hack it up anyway. My buddy Devon said he can fix the issues. Just need to install these vents and another set of Aerocatch latches.

The flush mounted hardware cost a little extra but I feel it’s going to look killer.

So you're gonna' have a "quad hood"? I'm totally confused. Must be my age bracket.

The hood vents are to extract heat to keep coolant and oil temperature down during extended track sessions in the gulf coast heat.
I understand that part, I'm putting an extractor hood on mine with the Coyote going in this month. I was more wondering if you're going to have all 4 of them, or install your vented ones in place of the snorkel ones.

Now I understand. The OEM “vents” in the GT hood will remain in place. They’re useless anyway.

they actually are/were someone functional. I can't remember the name of the type of duct it is but as the air passes by it, it creates a vacuum and if you looked at the bottom of the hood, at the very back there are 2 large holes to allow the air to be sucked up. Because it uses vacuum rather than forced air it doesn't need a direct rout like in a ram-air type of intake. I know at one time in phoenix at a light I was able to see the heat coming out of the holes and distorting the spot in front of it.

Stock does suck but this sucked worse.

This isn’t too bad but I’m sure the stock type won’t inspire much confidence.

LMR came through with the new headlight retainers and then I figured out the new lights came with a pair.

She looks like a car again.
