Drove the car to work again this past Tuesday.

Just about ran the fuel tank dry but apparently had about a gallon left. Pumped around 13.5 gallons and that calculates to 17.7 mpg over 240 miles. That was not really taking it easy and numerous WOT blasts. It also took FOREVER to pump it to half tank. The vent must be clogged. This has me wanting to upgrade to a fuel sell and a bigger pump.

This isn’t normal.

By the time I was able to make it home, steering response was almost non-existent. My 2000 Cobra R steering rack died!!

Picked up a new rack from O’reilly auto parts and will replace it tonight.

or Saturday..

Brought the car to a local alignment spot a friend recommended and I’m happy with the results. The cylinder head temps were steadily climbing and I suspect this fuse folder is cooked.

(Pun intended)

Met my wife for lunch and snapped a picture of both of my vehicles in the wild.

Drove the car to work yesterday and the fan was still working fine. When I got home, fired the car up to do some data logging and the fan then abruptly stopped.

Great. Set the PWN to 20% @ 0 RPM and started to troubleshoot the issue. When I wiggled the fan connector it started to run. Pulled it off and found this:

Dammit!! Looked around and found the original fan from my cars pushrod days and put it back in. It fits the 5.0 style radiator so much better than the 4.6 fan did, imagine that. I’m going to replace the fan connector as soon as it arrives in the mail. The entire setup will be revamped with either the Delta PAG setup or something comperable that’s readily available.

Devon sent me a progress picture of my heat extractor hood. I’m stoked.

Also added some PS fluid to the reservoir and now the pump doesn’t bitch nearly as much. I’ve been meaning to bleed it again but it seems the air reached the surface on its own as indicative of the low fluid level.
