First round trip to work was a success and the car ran great.

The weather was perfect and the ride was without worry. There was slack in the steering but more on that in a moment.

The car is pretty rich at warm idle.

She runs really well at cruise.

Fixed the slack in the steering after I got home and let her cool off. Turns out the bolt that pinches the steering shaft to the rack was loose. Easy fix.

She is stiff!!!

Day three of driving it to work went quite well again. I love this car.

In preparation for Sunday’s autocross event, this is my day tomorrow:

1. Oil change
2. Rattle clips for rear pads
3. Rear exhaust hanger/tips
4. Nut & bolt check suspension
5. add 1/2° of pinion angle then test
6. Swap to my Corbeau seat
7. Buy portable air compressor
8. Pray
9. Definitively fix the loose steering. I have to remove the steering shaft, chase the threads (where you tighten the universal joint to the steering rack) and obtain a new inside hex bolt.

What headlight bulb/setup are you using? Your headlights are bright and I definitely need that.

projector retrofit is what he did and the way to go

This exactly. Projectors retrofitted into aftermarket housings. They’re good but one is broken so I’ll be replacing them soon. Note the cardboard stuffed under the light to aim it up, LOL!!

Swapped the driver seat out for my Corbeau fixed bucket.

Went to Lowe’s to buy a tap to repaire the stripped threads in my steering shaft.

Decided it was easier to just drill it out and install a larger bolt & lock nut.

Changed the oil @ 400 miles with some FOMOCO 5w20

After that, I started to nut & bolt check the suspension. Everything seemed ready to go so I finished the day by washing the car. It’s time to learn how to drive it tomorrow!

The pins look pretty good. I've contemplated getting some. The hood wobbles too much for my liking. Did you notice it seem to hold it down a little better

Missed this question. The hood doesn't move, at all. It is very secure and I recommend these latches to all. There is also a locking version if you're worried about theft.
