Going to try a shift ball for a bit to see how I like it. Bought it years back for the wife but she didn’t like it.

Trying my hand at idle tuning. Going to park this screenshot here for future reference.

The car has been idle surging and stalling when coming to a stop. It also surges pretty rapidly at cold start and acts like “cruise control” while it’s warming up.

That StartUp IAC is damn fast. .01 isn't long at all and the decay is the same which would just about make it worthless. My Terminator HP is set to 2sec/3sec although not sure if it would be the same with the TermX package. Have you tested to see what the IAC can get by with at idle? All the little tweaks are fun to mess with.

Didn’t surge nearly as vigorously as before but it does still hunt some. Didn’t stall coming to a stop or hunt for idle after cruising.

These are the new IAC figures I’m trying and I may slow the start up hold/decay times a little more. I haven’t made any changes to the idle spark P/D settings.

The other issue is the fact it idles between 11.9-12.8 so off idle starts are sluggish. Cruise AFR is between 14-15.

One thing for sure is to set idle with engine at operating temperature and Open Loop. Use the Base Fuel to see what's going on. That AF seems awful rich at idle. PM sent.

Didn’t mess with anything except the start up IAC position timing and these were the results. The reason the idle started to fluctuate was the AC compressor. (Remember those?)

How big is your cam? Just the lift, LSA and duration at .050 would do.

Intake cams are L&M: .513, 120° LSA and 230 deg @ .050”

Exhaust cams are factory Gen 2 Mustang

Worth noting that the cams haven’t been mapped, only set per the timing procedure.

Got the wheel spacers on the rear this evening after work and torqued the wheels. The goal wasn’t to be flush with the fender although I kinda wish they were. Curious if the handling change is noticeable and I’ll know tomorrow!

It looks better with the new spacers!

Had to tighten the bolts on my shift lever again. Going to get some ny-lock nuts to fix it but really need to chase the driveline vibration.
