IMG_0021.jpg IMG_0022.jpg IMG_0023.jpg So, sounding like I have a problem. Here are some pictures. The cams are the same - unless I am really missing something simple. I was wondering if the issue wasn't the left and right cam gear being different, meaning of course that the cam would be indexed differently when everything was at TDC. I know the cam gears are marked LH and RH. I can't find any reference to the cams themselves being different - except in the case of pressed on gears obviously.

Well dang! You got 2 same side cams.

One would think the cams would be the same only oriented differently when installed but its not that simple.

The exhaust lobes are bigger (higher lift) than the intakes - so one cam should have a big lobe to meet the exhaust valve, and the other side should have a smaller lobe that mates up with the intake valve.
