in preperation for the bigen motor id like to pick up new gauges.. but my question is if i buy say autometer sport comp elec gauges.. how complicated would they be to hook to the stock wiring etc.. so that i can get use of them in the mean time :boink: also, there is a company that makes "gauge pods" that are basically a bezel that fits in our dash, and holds whatever standard size gauges you want.. anyone remember who that would be
oh, so you want to replace the stock stuff...okay i gotcha now. take a look at this guy's setup... http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=73248.0
yea, problem i'm thinking is that the PATS will freak out if the stock cluster is not hooked up.. but i'm not 100% on that one :noes:
what is your setup? i think i remember you saying like a nitroused up 460 or somethin? if you are doing that, i doubt you are going to be needing the PATS since it won't be a daily driver and you dont really need all that mess.....and im pretty sure your tuner can just turn off the PATS with a handheld tuner or something similar.
yea 514 actually and fvck not daily driving it.. you can get anywhere in my city in 10 mins and we get 6 mo of snow.. for the dry 6 mo it will be driven :behind: but the way its looking this season might get spent with the 2v (my builder is WAY behind) so i was thinking of sticking it out, but i want to keep progressing towards the finished product... so if i could have it work now, and then that would be prefrerable to buying gauges and having them sit on my dresser for 6 months.. and the car will be carb'd so a tune to disable the pats would be a huge waste of money haha.
