Got money to get a car at 16 (2 years ago) from my grandmother. Only reason was because I broke my neck in a bad car accident. I pay for all the mods, insurance, labor, gas maintenance etc. I do get some car parts for christmas and birthday. Mine was around $6900, 95 GT all original with 53,000 miles. Couldn't pass it up. Only thing it needed was rotors, so i did a full tune up and brakes to start.

My 99 V6 I paid $10,000 in 2007. I financed it with a 4 year loan from a local car dealer. (I sold it in 2011.)
My 99 red cobra I paid $12,000 in cash via private deal back in 2011. (It was a car dealer's personal vehicle.)
My 99 white cobra, I paid $4,000 in cash plus another $750 in 2013. (I had it shipped from Cali to Indiana.)

My parents bought me my mustang back in high school and have paid for 98% of the mods including coilovers, exhaust, bolt-ons, racing seats, and splitter.
They have about $12000 in the car including the car itself.

My car was 4k when I bought it. It would be sad if I wouldn't be able to pay for that myself

Dad bought that car in 2004 when she was a v6. Paid for it and did the 5.0 Swap. For the last 2 years ive put my own money into her. Im only 17 and moneys tight but im proud of what ive done in the last 2 years.

Basically paid $1500. I was daily driving a '70 C10 that I totalled. Mom cut me a loan for 1500 and I bought a Toyota pickup off a friend. Did a little work to the Toyota and beat on it for a few months then a friend of a friend hit me up asking if I was interested in trading for a '95 GT and I made the deal quick before he changed his mind. I ended up trading the truck plus a solid axle and t-case I'd traded the wrecked C-10 for so I guess you could call it closer to $2k but still a decent deal for what I got.
