    well mods don't equal squat with an npi, and its not an arguement....i know i'm right...lol j/k

    i think they are equal basically...i've owned both and can give a good opinion...a drivers race 7/10 times.

    Your right there is no reason arguing about it. FACTS are proven. It's proven that the the pushrod does not have a wider power curve then the NPI. both cars but out almost IDENTICAL numbers (maybe off by a few numbers). It's a drivers race in this situation period.

    both are rediculously slow so lets leave it at that. If only the 4.6 had a bore size = to the 5.0's :nonono:

    a 4.00 inch bore would've help the 4.6 incredibly!!!!! the heads would actually flow and 7k rpm in a heart beat :dancing6:

    they should have just PI'd those fucking 4.6's from the get go dam it :rant: :rant:
    from my experiances it was pretty much a drivers race with my car and a 5.0 car with similar mods which was basically exhuast and short throw, but only till the PI swap that is then it was a whole diffrent ball game ;D

    Shifter race for sure. If you had gears you'd get the jump on him. And like 281powered said, if you were PI Swapped it would be hands down victory for you...

    the way ya'll are talking the full exhaust would help the 5.0 a lot?
    so what is the CAI and short shift/clutch gonna help ona 4.6?
    im confused.... :slap:

    Hands down best bolt on mods for a 4.6 is gears, full exhaust and some pullies. Everything else is nominal. Pushrod's are good motors. It would be a good race and all depended on driver. Ford is slowly understanding and putting out better motors now they need to work on the weight factor. Shave 800 pounds off these damn pony's and watch them get up and haul ass.

    yeah MM&FF had a good article about that.
    bring back the GTS, shave off the power everything,
    take out the AC and even dome sound deading material...
    thad be pretty cool

    5.0's respond really well to exhaust and timing advance etc,
    early 4.6's don't respond as well with exhaust unless you do longtubes...
    a CAI won't do anything on a NPI 4.6...

    Haha i'm on my third CAI :slap:
    started with a BBK many years ago before i knew how worthless they were on our cars. Then i went with the C&L system when i PI swapped a few years ago. Now i have the Demolet kit designed for the Roots blower and 90mm Maf.

    It could come down to drivers. I think that the 5.0 would have the edge.

    It's a driver battle period we have all been over this. Far as CAI's. There worthless expesically BBK (which I have). On my new motor im build only the best with actual proof will be sought out. Everything else is just for looks.

    i would have to say the 5.0 cuz in my 5.0 ive beat plenty of 4.6s : for example i beat a 4.6 he had CAI , headers , flowmasters all i had was K&N FILTER, borla exhaust and i beat him about 2 1/2 cars the second time i beat him about 3 cars so i would have to say the 5.0
