Upgrading to cobra brakes and I realized I have an issue. Stock spare tire is a 16" and won't clear 13" front brakes. Question is the following. Will a full sized wheel and tire such as a 17x8 with a 235/45/17 or 245/45/17 fit in the spare tire well? Everyone wants so much for a cobra spare because its from a ****ing cobra.. Help a brotha out

Ha, it technically goes over it, but you have a hill in the trunk instead of a valley. It is going to sit just a hair under 4 inches up higher than normal. Again that is a 17x9 with a Nitto NT01 255/40-17.

you should be able to find a 17" spare on craigslist for dirt cheap that way you don't have to run a full size wheel in the trunk.

Been looking all over. I don't wanna spend a lot. Everyone thinks these spare wheels are off a Maserati.

I think I sold mine for $120 shipped across country. I didn't realize they were worth more than $40

I think I paid about a $100.00 for mine about 4 years ago. Not cheap but it was brand new and cheaper than a tow truck...

Why not just get a spare tire from a fusion? Same bolt pattern.....

I can test mine this weekend if need be, with the cobra fronts I have now, I would now if it clears.

AAA only gets you to a shop to change the tire. I doubt many shops in my area would carry these sizes.

I have AAA too but I can have it changed and be back on the road in half an hour. I keep a 1/2 breaker bar, gloves and quite a few tools in the trunk. I hate getting a tow.
