will i break 15's?

do you guys think ill break 15's with my car. im going to the track in the spring for the first time. here are my current mods plus the ones im doing this winter

usual plugs + wires >Mac catted h pipe > MAC catback > cold air intake > 70MM throttle body > trickflow upper intake > pro 5.0 shifter > 3:55 gears : > and BFG drag radials.

can i break 15's? also what do u think my RWHP is????  my guess is 210 :dunno:

for your rwhp, you have about 20 over stock with those mods at best. What makes this bad is you have a 96 NON PI GT and they are not know for making great hp :-[ Stock is around 170 with those cars ( manual trans ) so I don't think you would be over 200 rwhp to be honest :-\. However with the mods you are looking at that those drag radials you could get high 14's come spring. In good weather and with great driving I can see it happening.

im thinkin you should easily break 15s....with the 3:55s and DR you should easily be able to do it...

my first time at the track i ran a 15.01 with longtubes, catted h, flowmasters, ebay CAI...hopefully i can get some 4:10s or 3:73s in the coming months. you should have definetely went wiht at least 3:73s if you plan on going FI, or 4:10s if you stay N/A....

is your car a 5speed? if so you should run in the high 14's if not it'll be hard to break out of the 15's but deffinetly isn't impossible. but as "snakebit"metioned your biggest problem is your still a non pi mustang, hurry up and pi that biatch and forget about 14's and say hello to 13's ;D

yea my car is a 5 speed. as for the gear , it wasnt my choice because i fucked up an axle 2 years ago in the rain and i did a rear end swap from a friends wrecked 95 GT which he installed the 3:55's so thats where they came from. i wanna get 4:10's. im thinking of the pi swap.......just have to find some money

2tonegt has a 97 5-spd w/2.5" o/r x-pipe, flowmaster catback, fidanza aluminum flywheel, king cobra clutch, steeda tri-ax shifter, steeda cold air, and bbk upper plenum and he ran a best of 14.7 @ 96mph. maybe that will give you a better idea of what you might run. my guess would be around 15.0 - 15.1.

on our shitty preped track at mission probably 14.6-14.8@93mph giver or take a bit. with similar mods to you like exhuast, shifter and gears thats what i was running before my pi goodies ;D

Geez I hope so with those mods. The previous owner of my stang ran a 14.5 at best. With bbk springs, mid pipe, cat back, short throw shifter, chip. Now I have better full exhaust, K/N fipk, new intake, bbk springs plus a few more random things. I hope mine can do at least 14.1.

if you know how to drive and launch hard at the track you should be able to get into high 14s my 98 with atuo an street tires went 15.2 with cold air and upper and lower control arms when i had my npi heads

i just ran (today) a 14.533 @ 94.86 on a 2.011 60' with the mods listed in my sig on my NPI original motor w/ 166K on the odometer.

btw, my o/r h-pipe is just the factory pipe with the cats removed. i also halfshafted and ported a stock 02 TB and installed it. if i had a real h-pipe and a real 70mm throttle body with a matching upper plenum i could probably run a low 14 high 13 :dunno:

??? uhhh that was my only good run today... the rest looked like my 11 yr old was driving. i had 2 red lights, 2 15.x runs (missed 2nd on one and spun through 1st on the other) and 3 or 4 14.7x runs (head up my ass). i wasnt going to say anything about all the other trips down the track but i didnt want anyone to believe i was a better driver than i am... i SUCK!!

it just goes to show that even with a half ass driver you can get in the mid 14's with moderate mods. the most expensive thing ive done was the chip and dyno tune (well worth the money!!). before that my best was a 14.947 @ 93.17 on a 2.2 60' and street tires (315's)... i ran pretty consistently at 15.0x.
