Brand new to the forum. I have a stout 408 Cu In Windsor and a C4 that needs a home. I have 2 options at this point. Both are 4.6 L cars. One is a convertible with a 5 speed manual and the other is a coupe with a automatic. Both have blown engines and, as far as I know, good transmissions. The Windsor is shorter that the 4.6 l but QA1 has all the parts to put the motor in the car but we all know that is the easy part. I am more concerned with all the other stuff. Current Windsor is carbureted, gauges in the 2 mustangs are expecting digital inputs. So, the 3 options as I see it are 1) put in the Windsor and the C4 and deal with the gauges, electric fuel pump, etc., 2) use one of the transmissions with all that comes with it - bell housings, clutches, converters, flywheels, flex plates, etc. or 3) upgrading to a better manual. I know this is over simplistic but also know that I am not venturing into unknown ground. SN95 mustangs are great cars. I bought my wife a 2005 Mercedes SL-500 for Xmas and after dumping 15K into it to make it perfect, she is granting me permission (40 years married so you know what I mean) to build up a Mustang. I really want your experience. I am too old to think I can figure out all this on my own. Thx
