My car is winter stored and every spring I find some oxidation on the aluminum intake and various aluminum mounts for alternator , mounting brackets etc. What do you put on these parts to prevent oxidation , I was going to try some spray oil and wipe everything. I'm interested in what you use.

I start mine about every 3 weeks, seems to help, but the condensation is what causes that corrosion to form.
only way to stop it is to keep it dry, that is why it does not happen as quickly in the summer.

I had a MCA Judge tell me he had good luck using WD-40 on bare aluminum to help keep it from oxidizing. I have wanted to try it but have not as of yet. Said just spray it on well and wipe down. WD...Water Displacing...makes sense but, again, I have not personally tried it.
