Hey All,

I just got my grandpa's 19k all original 98' SVT Cobra. He passed away about a year ago. I grew up going to car shows and out to dinner in it with him, fun car! Well, it sat for the last couple years, and it turns out the fifth/reverse lockout arm is broken. The pin/bolt that it sits on was screwed halfway out already and when I tightened it back in I could hear the arm swing down inside. F6ZZ-7K002-A is the part number. I can't find this part anywhere. Suggestions?

On a side note, my wife is helping a lot with it so she will be allowed to learn manual in it. We've done: ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, brake lines, rebuilt the calipers, rotors and pads, ignition coils (oem Motorcraft), spark plug wires, spark plugs, cleaned MAF / throttle body / intake manifold, air filter, engine oil, radiator fluid, power steering fluid, diff fluid, cleaned and painted the diff / drive shaft / diff counterweight, new tires, and probably forgetting some.

Thanks!IMG_4636.jpeg

Are you rebuilding the transmission or just fixing that part?

You could also call Stan at Pro-force performance. He is the man when it comes to these things.

You could look in to Stan’s billet 5/R shift fork. He’s got a single disconnect design that synchronizes reverse and lets it go in much easier.

Thanks! I emailed Stan and will ask to buy oem or billet (preferred).
