Me personally, I would buy a 2014 because it weighs less than the 2015 Mustang and it looks way better.
If I were to buy one this weekend (I'm not, just hypothetical situation) a '14. Ford must be offering deep discounts to get them off the lots to make way for the '15. The '15's IRS is not enough to sway me and the S197's are plenty stout.
15, no questions asked. I saw a 15 on a Ford display yesterday. The car was upside down so I got to look at the underside and I really like the layout. IRS+4cyl turbo=tits.
14.... I feel like history is repeating itself. The 1970 mustangs were beauties, then the 71s looked much less attractive. It's not as dramatic of a change as the 70s but I really don't know how I feel about the "Mazda mated with a camero" look the new mustangs portray.... That being said the roush edition and I'm sure the saleen will look completely amazing.
FRPP will be selling an IRS upgrade kit, which the cars in this video have.
Not crazy about the asthetics of the 15. This thread has got me thinking I might hit ford up tomorrow.
I bought a 2.3 liter turbo mustang back in '80. Biggest POS engine I ever owned. Fool me once and all. If I were to go with a '15, it would NOT be the 4 cyl.
You know they don't use the same 2.3t as your 1980 right? Haha I'm sure you do, but this new 2.3t is actually pretty legit. I'd wait til the flatplaned crankshafted, naturally aspirated 5.2 comes in the gt350 configuration or the other blown svt version which should be out in a few more years. Basically the 15 handles much better from the irs at the price of added weight from the 14, but i'm still not sold on the way the front end looks on the 15.
Well that video pisses me off. Dang 4banger running 12.5sec quarters is upsetting.....but cheering too
Slap a blower on and run 10's not bad at all. I really like both the 14 and 15 but I think the IRS would sway me since I like the twisties more.
