Okay so um while I was out running errands I noticed coolant smell while at a stop light, I thought "Hmm somebody has got a coolant leak" I looked over and saw an older honda and thought "Yep it's him" So I get to the movie store to drop off some movies and notice I can still smell it, at this point I am freaking out, I start looking under the car and can't see any drops on the ground so I get back in and start heading home. As I am like 75% home my coolant light comes on for about 10 seconds then turns off. So I hurry home pull the car in the garage look under the hood and it's dry as can be! However I can smell coolant, so I look under the passenger side and see coolant on the rear side of the motor standing on the front axle, I'm thinking what the hell can this be?!?! The temperate never went up at all, and my intake is nearly brand new! I tried looking at the heater core but it looked dry. WTF?

    Son of a *****....
Well it's definitely that I looked under the passenger side and while the carpet is dry under the heater core box I can see residue under the box seeping from it. Also started the car back up and and it was dripping like a *****.

If it's not cold there yet, you could always disconnect the hoses from the heater core and connect them together. At least you can drive it till you have the time to change it out. you'll have no heat in the car.

Tried the pry method, there's just not enough room. Got plenty of room now since I disconnected all the wire harnesses just can't get enough room to pull out the old core.

Well after alot of prying and cutting I managed to pry out the old core and install the new one. Almost done putting the car back together just got to somehow get the defroster screws back in they somehow are reaching the thread and i can't move the dash at all since it's secured back in place. got the hoses back one and everything wired back up just gotta put the seats an center console back in and good to go

    It was..... A *****...
I hope I never have to do it again, next time I'm paying a shop to do it, it will be the best $400 repair I ever spent.
