Yeah I went ahead and ordered a BBK h today. It was a bit cheaper than the X and most of the differences are negligible to me. Most important part was getting rid of the 6 cats and adding some volume. Exhaust was way too quiet

Yeah my mach had lts h pipe and magnaflows sounded good. I'm considering spintech on this car. Unless I can come up with one of those borlas with the machine gun tips. I'm considering making them myself. You can buy those borla tips for 100 bucks and then wrap them in perforated steel yourself

well, I tried removing the stock H pipe to install my BBK Xpipe and no way can I get the flange nuts to budge. I tried PB Blaster and Seafoam Deep creep. Impact couldn't bust em loose. Neither could a breaker bar. I called 11 shops today and none will install a catless mid pipe. FML.

Your 1/2 inch impact wont bust them open? Go to the hardware store and get one of those map gas torches. Have you attempted to mess with it today (I assume you tried yesterday with the deep creep) sometimes it takes a while for the oil to set.

Also if you heat keep in mind you dont want the heat to soak into the stud, it will expand as well.

No. To do the passenger side you have to remove the o2 sensor. I put it back to drive it again.

Spray everything down with penetrating oil over the next couple days. It should help break it free. Once you get the pipe off clean those studs with a wire brush and add some anti seize and you'll be set for the next time when you do trans work or long tubes

Honestly, I'll probably wait until I put it up for the winter on 11/1/20 at this point.

yeah, killed all the momentum I had from actually scoring one without cats. BTW, are the $12 eBay MIL eliminators decent?

i don't have personal experience with those, but I've used mils before and they worked on my 1st 00gt. I would think its worth a try for $12. really not a difficult install at all.

So my eliminators don't work as I keep getting p0141 code. Also, with the top up, the x pipe into glass packs dumped is way too loud at 1200-1600rpm. I think I'm gonna hafta rig up the stock tailpipes again with some sort of muffler. Damn it.

You need to turn the rear 02’s off in the tune and those codes will be a thing of the past.
