if you have a power adder, i suggest and x-pipe with flow-through mufflers.

if you do not have a power adder, i suggest and h-pipe with baffled mufflers.

ALTHOUGH, in the long run, it *really* doesnt matter.

a qucik rule of thumb for most folk:
"x for performance, h for sound."

i think its the angle. if you do keep OEM springs out back... at least take out the Isos and replace them with duct tape. .. lol.

I don't think an x pipe from an 03 will work on your cobra. The tranny crossmembers are different for both cars. The 03 uses a shorter crossmember which actually sits higher and your cobra uses one that bolts to the subframes which sits lower. The "X" section will end up hitting your crossmember; my buddy had bought an x pipe off a 02 Gt for his 98 cobra and it wouldn't fit.

hm. good to know.

is this a GT to cobra problem? or a 1996-1998 to 1999-2004 problem? or a T-45 to T3650 (or whatever they started running in 2001.5) problem?

This should be a 96-98/99-04 problem because I bought a mac prochamber for my car when I did longtubes off a guy who had it on a 01 cobra, needless to say it didn't fit because it hit my crossmember.
