So I'm thinking about getting an O/R X pipe but I'm not sure what brand to buy. My fellow mustang friends say some brands have a hard time fitting on to the car and others start to sound terrible after a while. I would like to know what y'all think and what kind of X pipe you guys have, if you have one. Thanks.

5.0 or 4.6? GT? Cobra? My UPR x-pipe fit like shit. I had to get an exhaust shop to cut and weld the stock mid-pipe flange to the new x-pipe to get it to fit onto the the passenger side header. I've heard alot of good things about BBK and SLP mid-pipes.

I second the crappy UPR fitment on my 96 Cobra. At first it didn't fit at all, replaced the motor mounts, now you can slip a playing card between the pipe and under body.

I third upr's crappy fitment on my 03 mach. It leaks at the drivers side head to downpipe ball joint... I hate it.

+1 for the Bassani, mine fit perfect the first time.y only complaint is that my exhaust leaks around the band clamps and I couldn't get it to seal for the longest time.

I have a BBK O/R X and O/R H (both shorty) and they both fit perfectly...

I had a Pypes catted X on my gt, fit great and never leaked

Did upgrade to better stainless band clamps then the ones they included though, just didn't like how theirs still left the "cut" pipe ends exposed

BBK Catted X on mine fits great. Hangs pretty low though. I scrape on some speedbumps with my H&R Super Sports.
