I skimmed through quickly but are you using the crown vic drivetrain and ecu, minus the motor? How about swapping the frame?
I didn’t want to do the whole frame for a couple reasons. First and foremost, I don’t want the big hump in the bed. I also wanted to do an independent suspension in the rear, and I’m really thinking about leaving it a long bed. All those things together added up to me modifying the stock frame. So I’ll be using the crown Vic electronics, a 4r70 trans, and a 5.4l engine.I skimmed through quickly but are you using the crown vic drivetrain and ecu, minus the motor? Shoot that part number to me when you can for the plates
Thank you
Very nice
Not as juicy as I’d like, but it was a big hurdle for me. Finding the timing cover was a real chore because the options are navigator or gt500 and they are no longer in production.awh... i thought this was a juicy update
I’ve got the crown Vic front suspension under it already. Are you gonna swap the front end of the frame in to get rack and pinion?
Ah, well then disregard lol. One of my buddies had a 69 F100 with a 390. That thing was badass, too bad he had to sell it when he moved out of state.I’ve got the crown Vic front suspension under it already.
Crown Vic front and 2017 mustang IRS.
No sir. I moved it so I could cut some trees and start on a shop……..then never built the shop.Anything new with this one?
Nope. I need to pull the engine out of my town car to get the pistons out for this one. I have most of the necessary components to do it though. So was the engine ever built? I have a friend that wants to put together a C head 4.6 stroker for his 66 F100 and was telling him about this.
