99-04 V6 T5 in 94-95 GT

Ok, i know i need a 94-95 bell with 10.5 clutch and 157 tooth flywheel and this tranny will then fit. My question is about the speedometer. I know there both different sensors. So can i just swap a 94-98 tail-housing assembly into the 99-04 and everything will work fine? Also can i use my 94-95 aode harness for the 99-04 v6 t5? thanks again

You can use a speedcal box to convert OSS to VSS, no need to swap tailhousings and do any of the other mods.

I just did this swap today, ok heres what u gonna need , the 99-04 t5 tailhousing has the trans mount plate on a different spot, it sits maybe half an inch back . Its easier for you to go find a 94-98 tail housing and all u need to do is to be able to install the speedo gear again is take a something like a dremel and make a small cut in the middle of the output shaft were the small section of machine surface is , don't do it too big but just deep enough for the clip to grab the just slide ur speedo gear on and clip it in place .
