Anybody else ever stripped the clear off wheels to polish them?

I'm no expert so I may have just gotten lucky. But my factory bullit wheels on my 01 had damaged clear coat on the lips. So I used aircraft stripper to remove it and then polished them. Looked really nice. UT be VERY careful not to get it on anything you want to remain painted lol.

I mean I would just jack up the back of the car, put it in 2nd gear and then sand/polish it while it turned(sarcasm for the most part).

that seems like a good idea to me, let the car do the work lol. Probably could just use first gear though.

I prefer polished over chrome.
My truck has chrome wheels and they need a full scrub and polish 2x per year.

Polish them up and cover with a good wax or wheel sealer, should keep it shiny for 3-4 months as long as you don't wash it with something that strips the sealer.
Jetseal is my sealer of choice.
