Why Does Falken NOT Make 315's for 17" Rims???

I've been running Falken tires on my Mustangs for a while now and I LOVE the performance I get out of them for the money, but recently I ran into a glitch. I put deep dish Bullitt wheels on my '96 GT Vert a little over a year ago - 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear. They came with Sumitomos which have NO grip and NO LIP PROTECTOR - also wear out faster than songs on z100. I had already put Falkens on the front when I ate through the Sumitomos on the twistys, but now the rears are getting pretty bald so I went to Falken's site to try to order some tires, and they don't have any 315's for 17" rims - only 18" and up. I emailed the company recently because they have a section for "size and product suggestions" but haven't heard anything yet.

Anybody else annoyed at the fact that they can't get Falken 315s for 17" rims?

Also (because I might have to suck it up and move on) - what recommendations do you all have for a great year-round street tire that will fit 17x10.5 rims that would be good alternatives to the Falkens?

Im gonna be trying out the Nitto 555r 315s They are pretty cheap online at 149 a pop in a 315/35r17

I have nitto 555's in 315/35r17 and they have lasted forever and i still have alot of tread on them and they fit the 17x10.5s very nicely i would like to know how long the 555r's last here are a few pics the tire next to the 315's is a 245

He is right though.. 18s or bust.. ill be stepping up soon enough.. hopefully by the reveal..

and Falken doesnt make 315 just because they knew you wanted some, so they wanted to be a pain in the ass.. otherwise there will be no pure reason lol

Thanks for the suggestion Grim95GTS, and thanks for the detailed pics JoshHooten - I'm gonna give the Nittos a shot if Falken doesn't cooperate by spring lol. The price sounds right and if you've had a good experience with them on your driver, then they'd work for my vert. I personally don't want 18's or I would have purchased those instead of the 17's - they were the same price, so no "steppin' it up" for me.

Those are the 555r drag radials for $154. I drive my Stang year round (just not in the rain or snow - I have a '92 Sable for that lol) so those wouldn't be good for the 0-100 degree weather swings in Jersey. These are the ones I'm referring to:
