<blockquote data-quote="reivaxtorres" data-source="post: 233581" data-attributes="member: 8890"><p>here is mine.....</p><p></p><p><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/ender03/Re-sized%20Photos/100_4640.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/ender03/Re-sized%20Photos/100_4637.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p>sitting in my truck waiting for install...</p><p><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/ender03/Re-sized%20Photos/Picture211.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p>right after i installed it</p><p><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/ender03/PicturesOfCar010.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p>from under the car</p><p><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/ender03/Re-sized%20Photos/Picture005.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p>and next (kinda) SRT Handz car, the SRA vs IRS look</p><p><img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a267/ender03/Re-sized%20Photos/8-19PCHCruise006.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p></p><p>and all i can say about the IRS is that i love it. i had thought i was done with the whole drag racing thing, but ive kinda started to get back into it. the IRS does suck for that, you gotta invest some money into it to make it launch good and not get wheel hop, but for me its not that great of an issue, at least not enough to put money into it. </p><p></p><p>the car just feels so much better with it. the car doesnt dip as much when you hit the brakes anymore, and amazingly enough to me if felt as if it were lighter, not heavier. weight transfer is awesome, weight balance is better as well. one of the best mods ive done to my car, easy. </p><p></p><p>and yes, the 03/04 swap isnt as straight forward as the 99/01 swap. a few things that you will need.....</p><p></p><p>03/04 cobra driveshaft pinion flange</p><p>03/04 cobra rear brake lines (or mach1 lines)</p><p>IRS subframe bushings for a 12mm bolt (Maximum sells them), or get the proper 14mm bolt from Ford and drill out the torque boxes</p><p></p><p>-everything else just fits right in. the driveshaft will be a very, very tight fit, so if you have an aluminum one you can get it shortened by about 1/2" to an inch, or just learn to deal with it. </p><p>-2 holes will need to be drilled thru the chasis and into the trunck, or you can weld on the IRS brackets (im gonna weld mine in.....eventually)</p><p>-one part of the body needs to be dented out of the way to make the passanger side bracket work. a hammer works perfect for this. </p><p>-if you havent done it in a long time, change the fuel filter now. its gonna be a little harder later</p><p>-you can do it by yourself with hand tools, thats the way i did it. i used 4 jack stands to hold the car up, an engine hoist to help me move the IRS from place to place, and a 2 1/2 ton jack to help me lift the IRS in to the car. some people will tell you to lower the car onto the IRS, but i found it easier to raise it into the car.</p></blockquote><p></p>
