Message: <blockquote data-quote="lking78" data-source="post: 1564033" data-attributes="member: 32586">update -- got a new MFS -- checked it out using continuity checks laid out in the haynes 1994-1997 manual -- noticed when i put it in that it wouldn't stay up in the rt turn signal position -- fell back to neutral -- noticeable click going to the left turn position -- so i took the MFS back out -- it worked fine -- turn signal wand locked into place up and down  -- wand seemed to do all the headlight functions -- nothing seemed off -- so i put it back in and finished replacing the cowling pieces and put the ignition switch back in and started the car -- the left turn signal blinks all the time -- moving the wand up and down does nothing -- all the other functions work as designed -- hazards, wiper, headlights hi and low beams, flash to pass  -- and have brake lights back -- only problem is the left turn signal flashing all the time and that the turn signal wand doesn't do anything -- is there an orientation that the new switch has to be in ?  i didn't pay any attention to what setting/orietation the old MFS was in when i pulled it --  i assumed that the MFS was a self contained box hooked up with 2 connectors and held in place with 2 screws -- perhaps i'm overlooking the ovbvious --i'm not sure how/where to go from here -- i have a 2nd MFS ordered from another source -- i might plug it in and see the rt turn issue repeats --  i'd be very tempted to pray that the switch that's in now is defective ....... many thanks for your help -- larry</blockquote>
