Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1567132" data-attributes="member: 11896">so you are keeping the stock deck and speakers but replacing or adding an amp?I can say for sure you will want to get the signal before the amp, preferably as close to the source/deck as possible.  The further the signal goes down the signal the more electrical noise it picks up or develops in the case of an amplifier.  Yes it makes it louder but all amps also add a little bit of noise to the signal, that is just the way the universe works.  If you get the signal after the amp, your amp will amplify that noise as well as add its own = bad.  I don't have the pin out but you should not need an loc if you can get the signal behind the deck.  The deck still sends a fairly high voltage output to the amps as far as low level signals are concerned but it is not hot enough to need an loc.</blockquote>
