4.6 romeo 6 bolt flexplate swap to 5.4 8 bolt windser swap in automatic

IF i where to do an engine swap from 4.6 to 5.4 is it easy to change from the 6 bolt to the 8 bolt and how do you do it?

the crank is what the flywheel/flexplate bolts to, so you will just need to buy a 8 bolt flexplate. no biggie.

o ok well what i mean is can you use the stock 4.6 crank case on the 5.4L if i where to swap

mine is a 6 bolt and the 5.4 is a 8 bolt and i wanted to know do you have to change crank case also :violent1:

all you have to do is buy an 8 bolt flex plate and bolt it on the the 8 bolt crank which the 5.4 has

Yes we got the flexplate part but you keep saying crankcase, what part are you talking about when you say crankcase.

the crank case is the cavity made by the oil pan and area above the crank and below the pistons in the cylinders...how would you change that?
