I ordered an edelbrock distributor (on the right in the attachment) for a 302 engine from  Summit.  I called Summit and told them it did not match the original distributor.  They sent me another one and it was the same.The original distributor shaft is longer and I do not know if the edelbrock distributor will engage enough or any of the pump hex shaft.  We are talking about 1/2 inch.To change the pump shaft I would have to pull the engine to install a longer pump shaft as the pump shaft has to be installed from the bottom.Can someone explain to me what is going on and what are my options to solve this?Thanks</blockquote>
