Message: <blockquote data-quote="Gears468" data-source="post: 1573415" data-attributes="member: 30934">Final update and resolution in case it may help someone else.Swapping in Edelmann replacement OE style pressure lines from pump to hydroboost and back to rack solved the noise.  Thankfully we still had the goofy tube adapters on the hydroboost ports Ford used on the 96-98 cars.We left the low pressure hydroboost line as we had it with 3/8" rubber teed into the primary return from the rack.We still are not entirely sure of the cause but we suspect a couple things:   - As the fluid heated up the steel AN host ends/adapters opened up just enough to allow some air and therefore cavitation.  Pressure testing to 130 psi does not simlulate heat or full system pressure so no way to confirm this.- The steel lines, adapters, and fittings have no rubber sections and do transmit pump noise much better.  The hydroboost was sort of a resonance chamber because that is where we would hear it.  A stethescope on the lines themselves revealed that same noise throughout the steel pressure lines, coming from pump.Phil</blockquote>
