Yesterday I was able to get working on the car again, I pulled the sway bar end links, radiator, power steering pump, and steering rack. When I removed the steering rack I found something I was not expecting. The motor mounts became so worn out that the engine had dropped down enough to cause the oil pan to rub on the steering rack. This wore down the steering rack and caused no damage to it but it also wore down the oil pan causing it to get thin enough to cause a crack in the oil pan. I think I will be able to just weld it up. So this means the engine will be pulled for sure and I will be able to paint the engine bay if I have enough time. After finding out the engine needs to be pulled I started to disconnect electrical connectors, fuel lines, vac lines, and ground cables. I got almost everything disconnected. All that's left is 2 heater hoses, clutch cable, and the a/c compressor and it is ready to be lowered out.</p><p></p><p><img src="http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/376205_2488300281079_1059862559_32688927_300589580_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p><img src="http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/308242_2488300761091_1059862559_32688929_451093312_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p><img src="http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/385023_2488301041098_1059862559_32688930_839574751_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p><img src="http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/375247_2488301361106_1059862559_32688932_737315448_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>Parts Pile</p><p></p><p><img src="http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/388315_2488303121150_1059862559_32688938_1539716035_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>Cracked Oil Pan</p><p></p><p><img src="http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/386491_2488303641163_1059862559_32688942_1321540854_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p><img src="http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/386648_2488304121175_1059862559_32688944_1618877279_n.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p></p><p>Today I had a lot of things around the house to do and I didn't want to start pulling the engine and run into a problem and have to stay up late getting it out so I decided to rebuild the power steering pump.
