Just as suggested, forward drum and clutches were toasted. Never seen clutches and steels that smoked. Luckily I had a spare direct drum from a good transmission I bought some years ago. Everything else in this trans looked to be in good shape and you can definitely tell it’s been gone through at some point in its life. I will say these 4r70w are definitely a breeze compared to the 60s and 80s I’ve done</p></blockquote><p></p>
