Message: <blockquote data-quote="jmstang66" data-source="post: 554118" data-attributes="member: 8950">this has been an on going problem with my gt....she has a motor knock and a bad electrical problem :BangHead:i took her to get an oil change about 2 weeks ago...i know i know, but i was too lazy to do it myself...had my guy check out the knock, he said he thought it was a rod  :angry7: ...then he goes to back it off the lift, and she keeps on dying, she was running horrible, lights and gauges were going bonkers, so we thought there was a short somewhere, had the whole console and steering column torn apart and couldnt figure anything out, he hung from the midpipe though, and she ran fine, so he suggested that there was a short somewhere and the car was grounding out through the midpipe...i couldnt tell you though, i am not good with anything electrical...so i get her home, have some buddies look at her, they think the knock is either a rod bearing or the timing chain, so i'll have a looksy tomorrow, its weird, the noise only happens when i rev it, not at start up, and not at idle...its strange.......as for the electrical, no clue..i completely rewired my stereo, got new batter cables and everything, and shes still acting weird, everytime i rev it, the lights flicker and the gauges act up, next step is to check my HID's..sorry for the long write up....but any help or suggestions guys would be awesome-Jeremy</blockquote>
