Message: <blockquote data-quote="reivaxtorres" data-source="post: 201369" data-attributes="member: 8890">well if thats the case, then you should be ok. but keep in mind that the 96-98 dohc, along with any of the 03/04 dohc, wont pass the sniffer test without the smog pump (might be electronic, cant remember). the CEL can be turned off, but the ECU isnt ready right away, it has to re-learn the car, which once it does it may or may not turn on the CEL. and are you sure that thing under the coilpack is the charcole canister? maybe try calling ford to see if they still sell it, or at least compare the part numbers to see if the GT one is the same as the cobra one (im sure it is). i think what you are talking about is the air pulse system (or air pump), which only came on the 4v cars</blockquote>
