While pushrod heads valve angle is nearly perpendicular to the port or angled towards the intake entry side of the head, modulars are the opposite towards exhaust. Why is this a major contributor to performance? Straight shot flow! A pushrod valve interfers with the incoming blast shooting through the port while modular allow the shot to skim over the valve.</blockquote>
