Don't worry about jumping right into a project that will take a lot of money and you don't even know what's going on. Take the time to read up some tech articles in magazines and at many many websites. Learn how the engine works to make power and what has an affect on it. Learn about suspensions and supercharging. Get a background knowledge on these things so that you can better decide what direction you want to go in with your car.
