I did not take photos of the process, but should this happen to anyone in the future.There was enough of the broken stud that we hooked a pair of vice grips to it (very tightly) and was able to carefully wiggle in all directions until the stud pulled out.Then we found a bolt in my random collection of nuts and bolts, and went to the Advance and got a tap.We tapped threads thru the hole and had to drill out the hinge a little for the size of the bolt.Once done we added a little glue to the threads and were able to screw the hinge back in place.</blockquote>
