Well i am getting that feeling with 180 on the clock and the water pump starting to leak for the 3rd time... so on and so forth i feel its just time to start building one and take my time with it so when the current 302 goes i should have a back up plan. I figured with 180k on this motor i would feel better if i started off from scratch and did a build then just throwing parts on here, so i can always have a running car. Post your budget builds you guys would do.I was thinking of a 302 bottom end bored to a 306 maybe a 308 with some decent pistons, set of gt40's or possibly used set of eddy's or maybe AFR's if they can be gotten cheap, Then maybe follow it all up with a cobra upper and lower.
