Here's a small update. No pictures, but this'll have to do for now. At least until I get a new phone. Haha. So, I finished up my PI cam swap yesterday. Had a weird issue I've never ran into before. The car would run decent when it was not fully warmed up. Once it got to operating temp, it just pulled power. Kind of scary feeling considering it was my first time doing timing chains on an OHC motor... Anyways, the battery light finally popped on which made me happy. Narrowed it down. Popped the hood, pulled the alternator bracket and checked the alternator pigtail. The little one plug wire that comes off the three pin connector didn't exist (no clue where it went...) Went to a local junkyard and pulled and alternator pigtail from a V6. It's noticeably shorter. So, it is just a temp fix until I can get the correct one. Fixed my issue all together. Car runs perfect and pulls a lot harder above 3,500 rpm. On to the fun part... Car smokes like crazy after idling for about 2-3 minutes... Instantly, I aim at the valve stem seals. Sure enough... Started pulling the plugs on the drivers side. #5 plug had a noticeable amount of oil. Luckily, that's the only plug that had oil on it. Considering I just put everything back together, I really do not want to pull the valve cover off and do the valve stem seals the sketchy way. So, I guess I will be just dealing with the issue unless there is a bandaid I can do for awhile. To my knowledge, there isn't though. Well, that's where I stand right now. Nothing crazy planned for awhile. Probably just some trial and error things to go through soon though. Towards the end of March next year the wife and I are moving into a house finally. I'll have my own garage and get a daily. Then the real fun will begin. If anybody has any solutions on a bandaid for vss, that would be awesome. If not, I'll just keep extra oil in my car for awhile. I'm running 5w-30 Mobil 1 Extended Performance as of right now as well.
