If you don't want to bother putting the pistons and crank in yourself, just buy a short block, and assemble it heads up from there. And shop books are great, I was required to pull apart and reassemble a Ford automatic transmission back when I was in high school. Looking at the step by step shop manual is easy. Well, it's not that easy, but it's not too hard either.</p></blockquote><p></p>
