hey guys, so im looking into rebuilding new heads, as you may have seen from some of my previous posts. I just need to find some specs on cams, so i know what cams can fit in what heads.

will 04 cams from the C head, be a direct swap for 97 cobra with B heads. ?

i found this chart while searching, but it seems a bit dated.

does anyone have a newer chart ?

I know that the 93-98 cams have a 3 degree offset ground into the intake lobes so that the primary will open sooner than the secondary. They were trying to use this method to produce a swirl motion in the combustion chamber. I also know that when they regrind these cams they grind both intake lobes the same. I would only get cams designed specifically for that head. try contacting comp cams.

'96-'98 Cobra cams have more duration, and make about 15 HP more in the N/A C heads than the stock C head cams.

It will work though, I remember reading a build up that used a similar setup in a magazine.

hey fellas. thanks for the replies. only took 2 months for this thread to heat up. lol. not worries tho.

ok so ideally some 96-98 cams in 2003-2004 C heads would be a nice option ?

Yeah if you have easy access to them if not maybe you would be better off with aftermarket cams.
