I did that with an AMC Jeep Eagle and it worked. Mostly. Not quite perfect, but much better than before. I also Bought a Chevy Cavalier (4 door) for $200 that had been T boned by a van. Looked like someone died in it. The support between the front and back door was also pushed in about 3" in the middle. I took it to a HyVee parking lot because their light poles were secured to a 4' tall cement stanchion. Wrapped a cable come-along around both and started cranking. Two doors off a donor car later and it was almost water tight. Made a great beater/loaner car that was still going strong a few thousand miles later when I gave it to someone in need. I don't quite see that happening with both of those rails though. Hey Frank, how does a tube frame compare with rail frame as far as strength is concerned?
