The wind was so strong, it kept blowing the hood off it’s prop and closing the hose with the prop still poking out from the fender gap. Aftermarket hood, so it already was difficult to open, and having the prop lodged there, not only caused damage, but made it even more difficult to pull open (a year later I even pulled the hood release latch so hard it turn right off!) Anyway, I decided that if I wasn’t right the fuck there, I would just keep it open like that so the wind couldn’t get to it, and it wouldn’t be difficult open because it already was open. So naturally we drove off like that. I think 20-30 MPH was when it flew open onto my windshield.</blockquote>
