I ran into a problem this weekend and I am hoping that this will help someone who has this problem in the future.  I have a coolant hose on my 1996 cobra, running from the coolant crossover pipe, down in and then 90° turns and goes straight to the thermostat.  The motorcraft hose has part # F6ZE-8A593-AB. When you go to Orielly’s they will tell you that the number crosses over to a Gates part # 21794… that hose is too short in both directions.  It it says that it fits, most my looking online said it fit, but it’s VERY mistaken.  The correct hose you may find is Gates part # 22561. That is the correct hose. However, it’s been discontinued since 2022 according to Gates rep that I emailed after finding none in stock. There is hope though. I ordered mine from RockAuto, but Summit Racing also carries the same hose, made by Continental.  CEL-66935 Is the part number.
