Message: <blockquote data-quote="shovel" data-source="post: 1588298" data-attributes="member: 29855">What ended up working for me was a 20" throttle cable for a 1983 Mustang GT,  a<a href="https://amzn.to/4ftN4zW" target="_blank"> Ryanstar RS-BT001 throttle cable bracket</a> (there are several brands & models in this same basic style, that's the specific one I got) and an <a href="https://amzn.to/3S3sj4f" target="_blank">Allstar Performance ALL54273</a> Ford cable adapter.Fits and moves well, opens the throttle all the way.   I adjusted its position by first holding the gas pedal to the floor with a piece of lumber and then locking down the position of the bracket.  Then released the gas pedal to make sure it fully allows the throttle blades to close.  Notice that the ball adapter on the throttle assembly is not on its most outward mounting hole (on the side of the Holley TBI).    This allows full range of motion and if I or anyone else mash the pedal all the way into the carpet it's going to stop because the firewall is in the way not because it's tugging on the cable.  [ATTACH=full]50011[/ATTACH]</blockquote>
