Ok, I mentioned this about a month ago about how my side exhaust had to be removed due to installation issues that the previous owner was responsible for. The car was in the shop getting several suspension components installed along with my 4.10s. So when my mechanic discovered the shoddy welding and restriction issues that the previous owner did he decided to quickly fix the problem for me and installed some new piping and ran the exhaust out the back and threw in new tips for free. I love the rear exhaust but I miss my side exhaust alot and would like to get it reinstalled. I still have my side exhaust rocker panels on the car so all I need is to get the exhaust ran out the side and new tips. But since my exhaust system is pretty old I was thinking of getting a new system. I absolutely love the tone of my current exhaust but it looks very badly rusted and worn. My car is the Woodward Dream Cruise Edition Mustang GT the side exhaust was put in at the factory, it was originally a Borla X-pipe System made specifically for side exit. The Borla X-pipe and tubing was kept in tact by the previous owner however he changed the mufflers to flowmasters and also removed the catylic converters. I have no idea why the owner did this but Im now cleaning it all up. Does anyone know of good side exhaust systems made for these year mustangs? What are my options here as far as trying to keep a similar tone? I know that many people love the SLP exhaust systems , im not sure if that would be a bit too much but i want to see what my options are. Any ideas would be helpful.
