If I remember correctly the faceplate is held on by a couple of screws on the side. I pulled the face off of mine so that I could use it as a dummy display if I do not like the neighborhood I was parking in. With some help from my brother, I modified the sticker on the cassette door to add a little attitude. The buttons and everything on the face are locked in so they wll not go across your floow like skittles. You might be able to get the job done with some blue plastic(like with the clocks), at least the display could be done this way.</blockquote>
