Message: <blockquote data-quote="ARdoller" data-source="post: 661363" data-attributes="member: 8914">thats not the point. the point of inspections are for safety, not just for you, but for anyone else driving around you. the government could care less about you not wanting to put parts back on your car for your inspection... and why should they? for legal reasons, you shouldnt have them on your car to begin with as a daily driver or any kind of "driver" if you have to take it off for an inspection.and, as far as getting ticketed for stuff, how is a cop going to know if your horn doesnt work? or if your tires are worn, or if your ball-joints are bad, or if your brake pads need to be replaced, or if your rotors are too low, etc.this is what is designated for "passenger cars and light duty trucks", in regards to what is required to check during a Pennsylvania State Inspection.The only things listed in that quote, that a cop driving around, could visually see and pull you over and ticket you for, is warning devices (flashers) and any kind of excessive body damage. As well as headlights/tail lights being "out".</blockquote>
